Opposite the Guest house is Del’s Café open from 7.15 in the morning. A few hundred yards away on Station Road is The Pisces Fish & Chip Restaurant (eat in or take-away). Just behind the Guest House, accessed though Sunnnyside Lane, are outdoor Tennis Courts available for hire in the playing fields. There are many Cafés and Restaurants in Yate main shopping Centre:- Witherspoon’s Thorn Farm is open during the day and also in the evenings. There is also a new Cinema complex and many well known stores such as Next, M&S food, Tesco superstore, TK Max, Nando’s Subway and McDonalds to name but a few.
Less than a mile further on from the shopping centre is the picturesque market town of Chipping Sodbury where the Tourism office open March to October, Telephone No. (01454) 888686 is located in the Clock Tower in the centre of the town. The tourist office is manned by friendly staff and stocked with a wealth of leaflet’s on “What’s going On” and nearby places of interest. The town of Chipping Sodbury has an assortment of pubs and eating places to suit all tastes and many offer live entertainment and food throughout the week. Eating out choices are Thai, Mexican, Italian, Chinese & Indian Restaurants.
